#AUBrasil still running at full steam.
Chris Bradshaw’s keynote speech was very well received by the crowd and I’ve just come back from a community meeting where Chris thanked the members of the Brazilian User Community and our Expert Elites for their fantastic work and support of Autodesk products in Brazil (pictures to follow on a more thorough post I’ll put together once I’m back in Switzerland;).
Talking about EEs, the pics above show Fabio Santana - our Expert Elite who does a lot of great work on the Portuguese Language AutoCAD Board on the Autodesk Forums -and Luciana Klein’s packed class at #AUBrasil today - I’ll tell you, she most certainly is a celebrity here:)
Hi everyone, quick update from ^CAM at #AUBrasil.
Yesterday was an absolutely fantastic day. I got to see a lot of São Paulo coming from the airport to the convention center. The sheer size of this city always shocks me! Our ride from the airport alone took about 1h40 (which the driver, Mr Vagner - who’s been providing transportation for Autodesk Brasil for over 16 years -, assured me was one of the fastest he’s ever done).
The afternoon was filled with introductions and work around organizing our Community and Expert Elite stand.
In the evening we had a reception where I got to meet our Senior VP, CMO and keynote speaker Chris Bradshaw, AutoCAD guru Lynn Allen and our very own Expert Elite Luciana Klein (with me on the picture above).
As I’m writing this, Steve Blum (Senior Vice-President, Worldwide Sales and Services) and Jack Doxey (Senior Director, Field and Channel Marketing - and our Master of Ceremonies for the day) have just taken the stage to open AUBrasil 2013 (picture above)!
Stay tuned for more updates from ^CAM live from the Community and Expert Elite stand at AUBrasil 2013!
Hi everyone, ^CAM here.
I’m getting ready to fly back home to Brazil for my first AU Brasil on 10th October and wanted to share the experience with you all.
I’ll be flying there from Switzerland to represent my team here at Autodesk (Social Media and Community), to meet our Brazilian Expert Elites in person (shoutout to Adriano Oliveira, Fabio Santana and Luciana Klein, can’t wait to meet you guys!) and I’ll also be over at the community area along with Olivier LePord – the man responsible for International Communities here at Autodesk - to talk to our Brazilian customers and community members about Autodesk, our products, support, social media and more. Come say hello if you are at the event!
For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with the Expert Elite Program, this is our way of recognizing outstanding contributors to the Autodesk community. Autodesk product users who go out of their way to master the use of our products and to help their fellow community members learn, improve and solve any issues they may run into while Imagining, Designing & Creating a better world. I’ll certainly be taking this opportunity to learn more about our Brazilian Expert Elites – why they decided to dedicate a significant part of their time to helping others, what challenges they face while doing so and the rewards they reap from contributing to the community. And who knows, maybe we’ll even recruit one or two more in the process:)
I’m also really looking forward to hearing what our keynote speaker, Chris Bradshaw – Chief of Marketing Officer and a Senior VP at Autodesk, has to say about what the future holds for customers located in such an important, booming and particular market as Brazil – that truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
And on top of all that there’s that lovely Brazilian sun to enjoy…not too shabby, huh?:)
Stay tuned for more updates from me live from AU Brasil.
Nos vemos lá?
There’s someone new in the AutodeskHelp neighborhood…
We’re very happy to announce a brand new addition to your favorite Autodesk support crew. Please, welcome ^JEF:
I’ve been working at Autodesk for a little over 2 years with the Front Desk team as Front Desk Representative, handling customer’s inquiries, anything under the sun:) Before joining Autodesk, I worked as an internal helpdesk support rep for a different company, providing support, training, and assistance to employees using the company’s procurement systems and tools.
Customer support is one of my passions. I love helping people, investigating and resolving issues that come up, providing support and training to customers to get them going…all the works! Aside from that, I also enjoy playing basketball, jogging, reading books, and surfing the internet.
Don’t be shy! Come say hello to ^JEF on Twitter during Singapore opening hours. He’ll most definitely be happy to help:) What are you waiting for?

The term ‘compatibility’ can be found all over the world wide web, most noticeably on dating sites. After all, finding a potential significant other that enjoys kung fu movies and cheap beer as much as you do is an obvious game changer.
Compatibility is also an extremely important factor when running any number of our 100+ products, and until recently also played a role in a major site used to access those products.
As many of us found out the hard way, the Autodesk Subscription Center was officially diagnosed with Internet Explorer 10 compatibility issue a few months ago. This appeared to have come out of nowhere, and forced many a loyal IE user to make the uncomfortable transition to Chrome or Firefox.
I’m happy to report on this fine afternoon that all of you Internet Explorer fans have a new reason to celebrate. The Subscription Center has been updated with a new fix to increase performance, including, yup you guessed it, IE 10 compatibility!
